Jost was chosen from more than 500 proposals by EditionF, Handelsblatt, ZEIT online, and Gruenderszene and later confirmed in a public voting.

Besides e.g. Nobel Laureate Nüsslein-Volhard, Jost was among 50 nominates and she was also subsequently confirmed in a wide public voting and received the award "25 women whose inventions are changing our life".

About the Award

EditionF annually grants the award in Kooperation with Handelsblatt, Zeit Online und Gruenderszene in changing categories.

The aim for the nomination in 2017 was to give women a platform who enrich our daily life with what they say, what they initiate and what they do.

The jury consist of renowned women as German Federal Ministry for Economics Brigitte Zypries.
