What can be done to optimize processes in chiral catalysis risk-free? Successful risk management and a solid cost estimate require not only an analysis on molecular and experimental basis but a view to the whole. By using an interdisciplinary approach we find the best way to optimize routes of synthesis and supply viable data for a realistic risk assessment.
There are various approaches: How can the robustness of a process be increased? Can the e.e. be improved? What about an even better reproducibility? Does it make sense to shift the asymmetric step in synthesis? Our knowhow provides reliable data, in order to quantify the risks of a process redesign.
