Smart routes of synthesis reduce E Factor

The E Factor is used as a tool to evaluate chemical processes regarding resource efficiency and waste management. The novel routes of synthesis designed by DexLeChem make it possible to reduce this factor considerably thus enabling a more sustainable synthesis.

Additionally, these new routes of synthesis are designed without toxic solvents. Usually, this aspect is not considered during the determination of the E factor. Scarce resources and high energy costs demand creativity and innovation in the chemical industry. But at the same time, an investment in new and sustainable production routes will quickly pack off.
